Holly Chamberlain Ross has been painting and designing since she was a child spending weekends and summers at her family's beach house in southern Maine.
Maine's vibrant colors, rugged seacoast, weather beaten cottages, lobster boats, buoys and seagulls along with cherished childhood memories are the inspiration for Holly's playful designs. Each piece starts with a pencil sketch, frequently using elements from snapshots of quintessential seaside scenes taken by her husband. Acrylic paint provides the vibrancy for Holly's colorful world; her signature thick black outline adds to the simplicity and boldness of each design.
Holly's art, with its bright and cheerful joie de vivre, appeals to the young and the young at heart. Her designs are at home in coastal cottages, children's bedrooms, and the houses of those dreaming of seaside summer days.
Holly has lived in Kennebunkport for 25 years with her husband, kids, and silly dog Nellie.
