LoriLynn Simms has a high-spirited, whimsical, yet refined style. With warm palettes and familiar home and garden oriented themes, Lori describes her style as “lyrical”…her love for music, food and family is her driving creative force.
She has been a designer for fifteen years. Fresh out of art school, she began creating menus and signs for restaurants and hotels across the county. Her first love for graphic design was formed. Within three years, she was ready to add another medium to her toolbox. She went back to art school to study Computer Graphic Design.
LoriLynn took this new skill and headed for the garment industry. She landed in one of Los Angeles's largest based fabric converters as a textile artist.
A couple of years later, LoriLynn was approached with a wonderful opportunity to join in a new adventure. She faced a new challenge ... converting a traditional art department to digital. It was in this new environment where LoriLynn was introduced to the world of licensing. Within a few years, the digital transformation was a success and she began her career in licensing.
LoriLynn was directed to Linda McDonald, Inc., one of the industry's best licensing agents. Linda quickly found licenses anxious to use LoriLynn's fresh approach to line and color on their products. LoriLynn's portfolio includes a variety of everyday and seasonal designs in her unique, festive style.
Today, LoriLynn sits in the quiet of her studio in the countryside of Suffolk, VA. She and her husband Drake have three girls and a dog Jack, that drift in and out of her studio adding their laughter to the festive designing atmosphere.
