As a child, Michelle Palmer, always had a pencil or carving tool (rusty nail) in her hand. Often the carvings were done on the back of her bedroom door, yet more practical when walking through the pasture, carving on tree mushrooms and rock formations. She has always found comfort and inspiration in little treasures. Today she finds simple joys in nature and much more with her family and is inspired to bring those joys to her canvases. Visiting antique shops, cozy country stores and salvage yards has added a touch of whimsy to her perspective ... all fun and inspiring. As Michelle says, "God's hands guide me, expand my knowledge and provide me with fresh perspective. Art is a part of my life everyday. It doesn't come first; it develops out of shared journeys."
Michelle is from upstate New York where lives with her husband and two children. She worked as a graphic designer before branching out into her own business of selling her watercolor paintings, then into selling printed stationary and paper products to local stores. Through a giftware vendor, Michelle was guided to Linda McDonald, Inc., who is now the exclusive licensing agency for Michelle's artwork. Today Michelle's designs are found on candle accessories, woven throws, pillows, tote bags, coasters, cutting boards, clocks, fabric, children's furniture, wall décor, and many, many other products.
