Anne Tavoletti was born and raised in western Pennsylvania. She spent 5 years attending college and working as a fashion illustrator in New York City. Anne now lives with her husband, a graphic designer, and two young boys in a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Having grown up in a home with her father, a fine artist, and her mother and two sisters, all artists, Anne was constantly surrounded by art. She has been painting and drawing all her life.
She works in a variety of mediums, including pen and ink, watercolor, colored pencil and acrylic paint. She is inspired by her love of antiques and primitives. Anne also loves to rug hook, embroider, garden, and antique new furniture. Anne admires many artists, from John Singer Sargent to Mary Cassat and of course the wonderful folk artists of today.
