Linda Solovic
Linda Solovic was never content with the box of only 16 colored crayons, she insisted on having the box of 64. As an adult, she is constantly looking for new inspiration in cast off treasures from old estate sales, flea markets and tag sales. Her influences range from 50’s children’s illustration, old feed sack art, quilts and vintage greeting cards. Linda has spent a lifetime building unique collaged images that are a delightful blend of color, pattern shape with an occasional touch of whimsy.
Linda lives in St. Louis with her husband, Gary, and daughter, Anna, and as many animals as her daughter can talk them into keeping. She teaches Visual Communications at Washington University School of Art and is inspired every day by life itself.
