Christine has lived within steps of the Pacific Ocean her entire life in a seaside village, where the coastal flora and fauna of her childhood playground gifted her with a lifetime of reference for natural forms. Her education at Rhode Island School of Design provided her with a solid mastery of color theory and surface design.
“I paint a lot of natural forms and love to layer onto aged surfaces to achieve a vintage yet fresh and modern quality in my artwork,” she explains. Recalling her childhood references of nature, she explores a limitless interpretation of flowers and seashells. Christine combines her love of nature with global influences and historic elements to create a vast portfolio of sophisticated textures, patterns, and motifs that are featured on scrapbook and crafting kits, kitchen textiles, home décor, fabrics, stationery, and greeting cards. Her artwork has also been featured on the covers of many books and national magazines.
