Jennifer Orkin-Lewis

I am a freelance illustrator based in a beautiful little village outside of New York City. I'm known for my daily sketchbook and the style I've developed while creating it. I paint a 30 minute painting a day and the looseness and intuitiveness of those paintings have become my signature. They are inspired by the everyday small things I see, from a bird, a teacup to a large crowd. I mostly paint with gouache but I happily throw in some acrylic, ink, and pencil into the mix.

I spent many years after graduating from RISD as a textile stylist designing prints for children's clothing and lingerie. Clients include Abrams Noterie, Abrams Books, Anthropologie, Chronicle Books, Kate Spade Home, teNeues, Seal Press, TAG, Flow Magazine, Design House Greetings, and many more.
