Tim Coffey
Exquisite detail, whimsical motifs, bold colors, and rich textures are defining traits that capture artist Tim Coffey’s signature freshness and vibrancy. Through softly rendered watercolors and richly colored acrylics, Tim's unique vision transforms his paintings into an inviting world of magical menageries, soothing still lifes, and far-reaching landscapes.
A New England native, Tim draws his inspiration from his surrounding landscapes, everyday occurrences, and his life-long collection of photographs. Working from the studio at his home in New Hampshire, Tim uses the clear, natural light of his surroundings to illuminate his work.
Tim's proudest achievements include his success as an award-winning children's book illustrator. His first book, Red Berry Wool, won the Golden Kite Honor Award from the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and his second book, Mabela the Clever, was included in the American Booksellers Association's Pick of the Lists. Christmas at the Top of the World, released in September 2003, is Tim's first book as both author and illustrator. Tim's children's book illustrations have been exhibited across the country and around the world.
Tim also enjoys extensive licensing success with a broad range of programs including social stationery, party goods, prints, and a scrapbook collection of papers and embellishments. With designs that have enormous product versatility and enticing consumer appeal, Tim's licensing programs are a fresh alternative for today's consumers.
