Margy Ronning
Margy Ronning looks at the lighter side of life in her whimsical approach to art and design. Her philosophy is to create art that is fresh and happy while keeping in mind current trends, color and imagery.
After receiving her B.F.A with honors from Kansas State University, Margy worked in various positions at Hallmark Cards including creative management and art directing. While at Hallmark, Margy realized her true gift was in creating artwork where she worked as an artist before deciding to embark on a freelance career. Her expertise in a variety of markets has held her in high demand for artwork from social expression-to-tabletop industries, books, magazines and more.
Margy's work has been nominated for 2 Louie Awards, a prestigious honor in the Greeting Card market. Her work has been featured on catalog covers for several nationally known companies in the social expression industry. She was a member of the artist's coalition called "Theme". Founded in Kansas City, exhibits were held in Manhattan, N.Y. and San Francisco, CA.
Margy currently lives in the Kansas City area where a strong art community resides due to the location of the Hallmark Cards headquarters. When not in the studio, she can often be found at little league baseball games with her two sons, husband and golden retrievers.
